About / PayUtility
Fee intelligence for payment gateways.
We built PayUtility because every fee calculator on the internet skipped the one number that costs the most: the currency spread hidden inside your conversion rate.
Last updated: August 14, 2026
PayUtility started with a single observation: when a freelancer, agency or SaaS founder invoices across borders, the receipts they get are almost useless. PayPal prints "3.49% + $0.49" on every transaction. It never prints the 3.5–4.5% currency conversion markup it quietly adds to the exchange rate. Wise converts near the mid-market rate at 0.43%. Stripe converts around 1% worse. Payoneer sits in between. On a $10,000 cross-currency payment, that spread silently costs the sender $300–450 — more than every visible fee combined.
The existing fee calculators don't help. They ignore currency conversion entirely, bury their inputs under ads and run on twenty-year-old layouts. So we built the tool we wanted: a small set of precise, private calculators that answer the three questions that actually matter — what exactly will I receive, what should I invoice to keep my margin, and which gateway gives me the best true rate today.
What we make
Four modules, one engine. The forward fee calculator shows your exact net payout after percentage fees, fixed costs and FX markup. The reverse invoice calculator works backwards from the net you want to keep to the gross amount you should invoice. The FX spread inspector compares live PayPal, Stripe, Wise and Payoneer rates against the mid-market rate so you can see exactly who is charging you what. And the PDF invoice builder generates a clean client-ready invoice with an optional Processing Fee Buffer line item, so gateway costs stop eating your margin.
Our principles
PayUtility runs 100% in your browser. Your amounts never leave your device, there is no account, no sign-up and no tracking. The only network call is a direct request to a public exchange-rate API for live mid-market data. Every fee is computed from the published rate cards and applied with your country preset — United States, India, UK, EU, Canada, Australia or Global — so the numbers match the math your gateway actually uses.
Fees and rates change, so treat any result as a strong estimate and always confirm live pricing with your provider. Everything else — the spread you can now see, the margins you can now protect — is real.
